Auburn, Ala. - On March 2, 2024, Auburn Police, with assistance from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Carson Scott West, age 22, from Wilsonville, AL on a felony warrant charging him with sexual abuse first degree.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a report of a sexual assault on Jan. 21, 2024. A victim reported that a sexual assault was perpetrated at a residence in Auburn, Alabama by a known acquaintance.

Carson Scott West was identified as the suspect, and after further investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained. West was located by Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Deputies on March 1 in Shelby County, Alabama, and he was arrested in obedience to the warrant.  West was then transported to Lee County on March 2, and the warrant was executed.

West was booked into the Lee County Jail and held on a $5000 bond.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
